Privacy Policy.
Last updated: June 2026. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data MentorMe ("we," "us") collects, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to the MentorMe website, courses, community, and related services (the "Service").
1. What we collect
- Account data: your name, email address, and login credentials, managed through our authentication provider, Clerk.
- Payment data: billing details and transaction records processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation and limited metadata (such as the last four digits of a card and the result of a charge); we do not store full card numbers.
- Usage data: pages viewed, courses accessed, progress, device and browser information, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
- Communications: messages you send us, support requests, and community contributions.
2. How we use your data
We use your data to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service and your course access.
- Process payments and manage memberships and renewals.
- Send transactional and service emails through our email provider, Resend.
- Send marketing emails where you have opted in (you can unsubscribe anytime).
- Understand usage with analytics, and to protect against fraud and abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. Service providers we share with
We share data with trusted service providers who process it on our behalf and only as needed to run the Service. These include:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Clerk — authentication and account management.
- Resend — transactional and marketing email delivery.
- Supabase — database and application storage.
- Google Analytics — aggregate usage analytics.
We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger or acquisition.
4. Cookies & analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, to remember your preferences, and to measure how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may limit functionality such as staying signed in.
5. Data retention & security
We retain your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email italo@mentorme.com. We respond within a reasonable time and within the period required by applicable law.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email where appropriate.
